Welcome to the Strange Brew Tavern
We are south side Allentown's casually-themed craft beer headquarters, featuring all of the games on TV and some of the area's most epic sandwiches.
The Strange Brew is the embodiment of the ideal that you don't need to be a high-end place to sell high-end beers. We wear the term "anti-gastropub" like a badge of honor, because sometimes you just want to eat a cheesesteak, some wings, or anything routinely classified as "bar food" without sacrificing the unique beer selections available at the highest level in the local craft beer scene. Assorted selections of wine, liquor and domestic beers are available, too. Whatever you like, we have you covered!
For those of you who are feeling adventurous to try something out of the ordinary for the first time, as well as for those of you familiar with craft beers, the Century Mug Club is a pretty cool thing we have here. Just ask the bartender or server to sign up, and you're on your way! When you have completed the requirements, you will be rewarded with your own beautifully handcrafted mug (just like the one in the picture above). There is no time limit or fee aside from the cost of the beers to participate.
